Terms of Service

By downloading or using Purrlist ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The service

Purrlist generates AI-powered playlist descriptions and song recommendations based on photos of cats you provide. Results are produced by a third-party AI model and are intended for entertainment purposes.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or overload the app or its backend.
• Submit images that contain other people's faces without their consent, or content that is illegal, obscene, or depicts abuse.
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the service without written permission.

Your content

You retain all rights to the photos you upload. By using the service, you grant us a limited, revocable license to process your images for the sole purpose of generating a playlist and returning it to your device. We do not retain your images after processing.

Subscriptions

Purrlist Premium is a recurring subscription sold through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at purchase confirmation. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.

A portion of Purrlist Premium revenue will be donated to cat shelters as our partnership program rolls out, as described on our About page in the app.

Third-party services

Purrlist integrates with third-party music services to create playlists on your behalf. When you connect YouTube Music, Apple Music, or any other supported service, your use of that service is governed by that provider's terms:

Purrlist is not responsible for the content, availability, or data practices of these third-party services.

Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the app at any time, with or without notice. We are not responsible for interruptions caused by third-party services (e.g., Google Gemini, Apple, or your internet provider).

Disclaimer

Purrlist is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. AI-generated descriptions and song recommendations are not guaranteed to be accurate, appropriate, or complete. Use at your own discretion.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Purrlist, its operator, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the app if you violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior. You may stop using the app at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the United States.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and communicate the change in-app.
